Hi Everyone
I am sure most will remember me doing my Skydive last year for this same cause, well i am back again and hoping that i can raise just as much to help this amazing charity.I am now doing the Jane Tomlinson 10K leeds run, and boy am i gonna find it tough, put me on a treadmill i can run my little heart out, outside its a different matter!!! Jump out of a plane?? Easy, run for best part of an hour, trust me i need the sponsors as motivation!!! As most will know i have spent the last 2 years fighting, surviving and coming to terms with the effects breast cancer has had on my life, how it has changed my life and how it is affecting my future. I have gone through the surgery, had the chemo the radiation the herceptin, the reconstruction, and let me tell you, it has been so so so so so hard. Harder than i could have ever imagined and ever anticipated having to deal with in my lifetime, but i did. The stress, the strain the sheer emotional turmoil of it all was made so much easier by the amazing people at breast cancer haven. From the minute you walk through the door of this centre, you are greeted with such warmth that instantly puts you at ease. Had it not been for Haven, i dont think i would have coped as well as i did. My life changed immensley as a result of cancer, but Haven were there to help me through some of my darkest hours. They offer essential help such as counselling, nutrition advice, alternative therapies, group sessions, and most importantly you get to meet people who understand and know how you feel.
I am raising money again becasue this kind of care and attention is vital to men and women going through the same as what i did. You need the support, you need the knowledge of knowing you are not alone and that there is help at hand. Most people in there lifetime are affected by cancer, wether it be yourself, a family member or friend, or a friend of a friend, we all hear about it all the time. So please please please sponser me today, sponser me not for me, but for all those whose lives are affected by Breast Cancer and those who are going through it right now who need this kind of support. Breast cancer Haven is not government funded so please please help, every penny makes such a huge difference to the lives of those struggling to deal with the effects of Breast Cancer.
