I'm running the Bath Half Marathon... yes, you read right... for my charity Cool Earth. As those of you who know me will be aware, I'm not the sportiest person so I hope that this enormous endeavour will inspire you to lend your support.

Cool Earth is a climate change charity who believe that the most immediate way to combat imminent climate change is to protect the rainforest. They work with local rainforest communties to sustainably protect rainforest and have been campaining for REDD* at the Copenhagen conference. 

To put the importance of protecting the rainforest into perspective... The average UK household emits around 11 tonnes of C02 per year. If an acre of rainforest is burnt it releases up to a massive 260 tonnes of C02 into the atmosphere, and 100 acres are cleared every minute.

If you want to support the cause or you just want to support me in doing something WAY beyond my comfort zone please donate something small or large to help me on my way.
