Today (18th of September is the day of the big game!) The game will take place at Witney Town FC with a 12 O'Clock Kick Off and each adult ticket will be £5 with 70% of funds raised going to help SpecialEffect and the remaining 30% going to the Arsenal Charitable Foundation helping community projects in London. If you can't make it to the match but would like to help by making a donation then this is the right place! As you can see from below a few generous local companies as well as individuals like Mr and Mrs Martin Keown have already been fantastic in support the event and charity.
Now...this is what the match is all about, raising funds and awareness for a fantastic cause!
SpecialEffect is a charity dedicated to helping ALL people with disabilities enjoy computer games. We’ll do whatever it takes because we’ve seen first-hand the kick-start it can have on motivation, confidence, inclusion and quality of life.
Although adapted games technology is within reach of disabled people, matching equipment to the disability is far more complex than plug-and-play.
That’s where our experienced and committed team dedicate the time, patience and skill - whatever the disability.
You could say we’re not just doing this for fun.
It’s much more important than that.
