Story
Update: Unfortunately Katy (Bambi) is out of the race due to braking her collar bone down hill mountain biking in the Alps! :-( But some good news! We've managed to find a replacement team mate in the form of Matt Thompson - another one of Helens crazy down hill friends! Wahoooo!
Thanks for all the Donations so far! Please keep them coming!

Well it all started when team captain Helen mentioned the Urban Adventure Rat Race in London. After much deliberation and some research we decided that it would be a very unique and extremely challenging way for all of us to raise money for a charity of our choice! So our team was born......
The Adventure
What is the RAT RACE??
The London Rat Race (http://www.ratraceadventure.com/default.asp) is an urban adventure challenge event that turns London into a high-adrenaline adventure playground for a whole 9-5 day. Teams will run up to 10km, hike, bike up to 50km, abseil large buildings, climb up over and across things, kayak for up to 2km and navigate our way around the streets, structures, waterways and urban landscapes of London.

The Charity
As a team we came across the UK based charity called CHILDRENS TODAY and we all felt that they would benefit from our BIG adventure.
Childrens Today (http://www.children-today.org.uk/) provide specialist equipment for children and young people under the age of 25 with disabilities throughout the UK.
390,000 disabled children in the UK have no statutory rights to be provided with equipment by the government or the NHS. So Children Today helps provide grants to families to ensure that every disabled child and young person in the UK can fulfill their potential and can lead an active childhood.
Any donations for this great cause will make our training and hard work worth it! So check under the sofa, pick up any spare change on the street and dig deep to sponsor us for this very wild and wonderful advenuture we are undertaking!
Thank you in advance from the St Albans Rat Racers!
