Tri For Life - Charity Triathlon · 6 September 2009 ·

It helps children who are suffering from leukaemia and cancer. It also helps members of the family who are in need, hardship or distress while supporting such children.

Story

Thank you to everyone who supported me and Jordan in the Triathlon. It was a great experience which we both intend to do again next year!xx

I am attempting to do a triathlon for the Emily Ash Trust which takes place on the 6th September, at Eton College Boating House, Dorney Lake, Eton and Windsor.

The purpose of the Trust is to help improve the lives of children who are suffering from cancer. This is not solely isolated to helping the children directly, but also in improving the lifestyle of the family unit or guardians who are supporting a child.

Rugby legend Lawrence Dallaglio and former Wimbledon footballer Robbie Earle have announced their participation in this year’s Tri-for-Life triathlon on Sunday 6th September together with Elmbridge under 14 Rugby Club.

Parents and boys from Elmbridge Rugby Club have taken up the challenge, this year 46 have agreed to take part and give something back, most of them are from the Under 14 team. The boys have shown true dedication whilst combining rugby training and games they have been at Liquid Leisure, Datchet every Sunday at 6am for open water swim practice. Thanks to Mike Trees of 2XU who has supplied the boys with wetsuits and along with Richard Stannard (4 x world champion) both providing training tips.
