Hi, I am called Lacey and I am nearly three years old. I want to tell you about my two best friends.
Alfie is great. I love going to the park with Alfie and sometimes we are allowed sleepovers which is so much fun because we get to jump on the bed!
Heidi is sooo cute, she is my other best friend, but she is still a little baby next to me and Alfie! We think we are going to teach her lots of fun things to do!
I love playing with my best friends, but sometimes I get a bit fed up because I am not allowed to have the special things that they have!
One day I asked my mummy, "why can’t I have the special medicine that Alfie has?". I also asked her if she would buy me some of those special boots that Heidi gets to wear. These questions just seemed to upset my mummy. She looked very very sad and told me that sometimes Alfie and Heidi and get poorly and that I am an extra lucky little girl because I don’t need these special things!
So I have done some thinking! When I get poorly me and my mummy say our prayers before bedtime. We say ‘God Bless Lacey’ and I always feel better in the morning.
I thought it would be a good idea to say ‘God bless Alfie’ and ‘God Bless Heidi’ every night when I go to sleep. I feel very upset now though because Alfie still needs his medicine and Heidi still needs her special shoes!
So I have been doing some more thinking. I told my mummy, "If God lives up in the sky, why don’t you climb a big hill and talk to him properly and ask him to make them better?"
My mummy loved the idea and she said she would! So, she has found a big, BIG hill...........far away in a place called Scotland. The hill has even got a name and is called Ben (which I think is a really strange name for a hill) and she is going to climb it this week!
I am a bit worried though that God might have a big queue of people waiting for him when he gets to the top, and mummy won't be able to ask him to help my Alfie and Heidi! Mummy said that we ask you guys to make donations! She explained that we can then give the pennies to people who help lots of children who are poorly just like Alfie and Heidi.
If you are reading this, please please please donate some of your pennies. I love my best friends very much and I wish with all my heart that they could get better!
Lots of Love, Lacey! XXX
(My mummy wanted to add an extra note)........
Hi everyone, unfortunately each page will only support one charity, so I would be really grateful if you could take the time to split your donation across both charities to help children like Alfie and Heidi
