Those of you that knew Stefan know what a truly amazing, geniune and inspirational man he was. He was everybody’s best friend an amazing father, partner and son. Stefan always wore a beaming smile and his laugh and personality were infectious. He was a joy to have around and would do anything for anybody, in spite of how unwell he was feeling.

In 2005 he underwent a heart transplant at just 19 years old. He never let this hold him back and never once complained about the hand he had been dealt. Stefan was extremely grateful for his ‘second chance at life’ and had this tattooed on his forearm to remind himself everyday just how lucky he was.

Without the amazing work and research that the Heart Foundation does we would not have had the extra 7 years we did with Stefan and Stefan wouldn't have gone on to have a beautiful baby girl. Although 7 years isn’t exactly a life time anybody who knew Stefan would know that to have spent just one minute with Stefan was special. He touched the lives of everyone he came into contact with and nobody ever had a bad word to say about him.

A large group of us which includes friends, family and colleagues, plan to walk Mount Snowdon on 9 September 2012 (what would have been Stefan’s 27th birthday weekend). Please dig deep and donate anything you can for this amazing cause. Your donations could help change the lives of another family, just as the Heart Foundation helped changed ours.
