Story
Hi guys,
At 8am on the 14th of November, Freddie,
Katherine and I will be participating in the Durham University Charity
Komittee's (DUCK) Jailbreak event. Jailbreak is an extreme hitch-hiking
event, with the aim of getting as far away from the University as
possible in 36 hours with only one rule, no money can be spent! In
previous years some students have reached places such as Los Angeles,
New York and Egypt, although our ambitions are a little more
conservative...(there was talk of Mexico!)
All of this is of
course in the interest of charity. The charity we have chosen is Autism
Speaks. Autism Speaks is a fantastic charity dedicated to research into
the causes, prevention, treatments, and a cure for
autism. They equally have many public events aimed at raising public awareness about autism and its effects on
individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who
deal with the hardships of this disorder.
I'm aiming to raise around £150 which will ensure continuation of the excellent work that Autism Speaks does.
Thank you for your generosity, and I'll see you when I return with the sombreros!
Much love
Stéphane
