My story

Dear Friends

Many of you will be aware that I lost my Mum on 14th November last year after a long battle with a brain tumour.

I know that I am more than a little biased, but notwithstanding her 5 feet 2 inch frame, she was a real force of nature and a huge influence on the lives of her family and her friends. She is massively missed by all of us!

Since Mum passed away, I have felt very strongly that I want to do something in her memory and what better way than through raising money for St. Giles Hospice in Lichfield where Mum finally lost her long battle, and where she was looked after so brilliantly. So I have decided for a period of 6 months starting on the 7th of March to end my love affair with pies and cakes and crisps and sweets and ice cream and alcohol etc, etc, etc with the aim of losing 20 kgs.

It is certainly not going to be easy and I'm absolutely sure that it will make me 'crabby' at times, for which I apologise in advance, but I would hugely appreciate your support with it. After all, it's all in a brilliant cause and of course in memory of a truly brilliant lady!

Thank you

Steve
