Brathay works with many of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged to help them develop the skills, confidence and motivation to make positive choices in their lives.
Our vision is of a society where all children and young people have access to formal and informal education to enable them to fulfil their potential. To achieve this Brathay has established the objective of becoming: The National Charity that empowers young peopleto make a positive contribution to society.

We focus on four key areas directly relating to the Every Child Matters agenda and performance indicators set by the government to ‘increase the number of children and young people on the path to success’. We provide programmes for the Children’s Workforce to promote multi-agency working and leadership capacity building.
Through our newly established regional centres, we provide national leadership in the development of young people; in particular, transforming the lives of those at risk of falling out of mainstream society often contributing to antisocial behaviour. Our regional offices are in Cumbria, London, North-East, North-West, Yorkshire & Humber and West Midlands.
