This is a small effort to help those not as fortunate as us.

I will be running 26.2 miles (some walking - most probably) around the famous lake Windermere just days after my 10 year wedding anniversary.

Yes I'm treating the missus to a whole day worrying about her ageing husbands health whilst holding her breath until I race across the finish line
What a bloke I am........

There is a small minimum donation for the site of £2, please give what you can from £2 to £5 thousand :-)
All contributions will be most appreciated.
All of the contributions will be going t the charity - There will be no 'expenses' taken out by me or the website.

Note on the Charity;Helping young people the Brathay WayAn introduction to the things we doChildren and young people in the UK are facing many challenges today. Brathay works with many of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged to help them develop the skills, confidence and motivation to make positive choices in their lives.

Our vision is of a society where all children and young people have access to formal and informal education to enable them to fulfil their potential. To achieve this Brathay has established the objective of becoming: The National Charity that empowers young peopleto make a positive contribution to society.

We rely on the generous contributions from our supporters to fund our work. Find out how you can support the work Brathay does with young people here.

We focus on four key areas directly relating to the Every Child Matters agenda and performance indicators set by the government to ‘increase the number of children and young people on the path to success’.  We provide programmes for the Children’s Workforce to promote multi-agency working and leadership capacity building.

Through our newly established regional centres, we provide national leadership in the development of young people; in particular, transforming the lives of those at risk of falling out of mainstream society often contributing to antisocial behaviour. Our regional offices are in CumbriaLondonNorth-EastNorth-WestYorkshire & Humber and West Midlands.
