Hi all. You may have heard that the Great North Swim was cancelled due to poisonous algae in the water. So as not to disappoint, I've signed up for the Great Salford Swim in Salford Quays on 26th September instead. It's not going to be quite as scenic as Lake Windermere, but at least I wont die from swimming there (probably). So, you can continue to donate safe in the knowledge that I will still be subjecting myself to a cold, wet fight masquerading as a 1 mile swim.

Cancer is something that touches us all. Everyone knows someone who has or has had cancer at some stage. Macmillan are there for people when they most need help - they help with finance and with care because being ill in Britain can be an expensive prospect. And they provide counselling and advice when its needed. With your support I can help improve the lives of people with cancer and their families - some of whom you probably know and love. So please give what you can.
