I have run several half marathons over my years and admit that lately they seem to be taking longer and certainly getting no easier!
This time I am running the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 21st March 2010, for a really good cause, a charity I am involved with called Skidz. (http://www.skidz.org.uk/).
The web page speaks for itself , but essentially the Charity gives kids who often do not have a good start in life the chance to gain confidence, self esteem, and success by learning motor mechanic skills.
Skidz needs a new building and has kicked off a £1M fund raising project. If you visit the website you can see there are already some pretty substantial individuals and companies backing the project.
If you can spare a few pounds, even the cost of a coffee, to donate or know anyone else that does, and would like to make a contribution to a worthwhile project I promise you the money will be used to make a difference
