Thanks for visiting my page to find out why I'll be getting up horribly early on Sunday 12 July and, this time, actually run 10K.
I'm taking part in the London 10K for Project Harar Ethiopia, a clever little charity doing great things in Ethiopia. It helps children with severe facial disfigurements get the surgery they desperately need. The patients come from some of the most isolated areas of east Africa and are found suffering from things like animal attack, tumours, cleft lip and palate, and noma - a terrible facial infection.
Project Harar helps the kids reach modern health facilities and arranges for specialists to carry out the operations, giving them the chance of a healthier and happier life for as little as £300 each. To see more about their work please go to www.projectharar.co.uk.
