I'm
doing a double sponsorship challenge for Shelter this spring, starting
with Vertical Rush on 25 February (running up 42 floors, 900-odd stairs
to the top of the highest building in the City of London) and then the
London Marathon a couple of months later.
I've been
homeless myself, was an active housing campaigner and worked in
short-life housing for some years. I also edited Shelter's magazine,
Roof, for a short time, as well as being a regular contributor, so I
have a personal interest in the work of Shelter.
