My story
On 2nd April 2012 Joy Davis lost her fight against Ovarian Cancer.
Joy was a dedicated member of Kingston Kayak Club, Hull for many years.
Joy encouraged thousands of people, both children and adults, including ourselves, to try kayaking.
She was involved in organising many activities, which included canoe polo, slalom, marathon and the summer school.
On 30th June/ 1st July, we have set ourselves the challenge to complete the "Cheshire Ring Race", this is 96 miles with 92 locks and 3 tunnels, in a K2 Racing Kayak. We are raising funds for Target Ovarian Cancer UK and Dove House Hospice.

22nd April we raced in Brigg Marathon. We raced 7 miles in 51 minutes, which is a lot better than Calder Marathon.

Dove House Hospice

Dove House Hospice provides specialist palliative care within Hull and across East Yorkshire. This care is provided by a multi-disciplinary team and includes In-Patient Care, and a Day therapy unit. Our services are provided free of charge to patients and their families. Without our support the local community would be without a vital service
