Cancer is a disease that touches a great number of people.  I watched my grandfather die from it and I watched my mother survive it.  20 years had made a great difference to the survival rates, but there is still further to go

Normally when I take on a sporting challenge it's a selfish one, but I wanted to make this one different.  I'll be riding 212 miles (341km) over 2 days, sleeping on a cross channel ferry inbetween (which may yet be the greatest challenge).  This will be by far the furthest I have ever ridden and I expect to learn a lot about myself on the way.  Please help me to make it all worthwhile by helping me to smash my 500 pound target

EORTC have been working for over 50 years to improve the treatment and therefore survival rates and quality of life for cancer patients.  There have been enormous strides forward in that time, but there is still much more that can be done
