Update:

As you will be aware on 04 June I was knocked off my bike and was unable to complete the challenge due to a broken rib :(

Many of you have kindly said that you would honour the sponsorship and for this I am really grateful. However I am taking part in the Bassetlaw Sprint triathlon tomorrow and therefore if anyone who has not had the chance to sponsor me previously can do so now.

On 12 September 2012 I got weighed for the first time in a long, long time. Imagine my shock and horror when the scales read 37 stones :(

Through the help and love from family, friends, colleagues, I went on an amazing journey. I joined a local Slimming World group and over the weeks, my weight began to get less. I was eating great meals and started gently exercising by walking. Over the months with the encouragement of those around me, I continued to lose the weight and increased my exercise. I started jogging and in December 2013 I was delighted when I achieved my first target of losing 22 stones. Since this time, I have lost a further 1/2 stone and was honoured when on 07 May 2014 I was crowned Slimming Worlds Greatest Loser 2014.

I have been very fortunate with my health and when I was asked to participate in the London - Amsterdam challenge, I was more than happy to step up to the challenge.

I cannot think of a better way to take the next steps on my journey in life and would be most grateful if I could ask you brilliant people to continue to support me.
