In late 2009 I fly to , with a stop over in , for a13 day trek to Kala Pattar that overlooks Everest & Everest Base Camp.
I am hoping to raise funds for the SHIVA charity.
This charity supplies funds for various education projects in , .
The teachers & principal are devoted to their school & their jobs, but it will have to close if they cannot raise enough moneyto pay staff or buy books & equipment.
The school needs about £1000 a year to help as many of the parents can't afford the fees.
£1000 may not sound much to us but in it is a fortune.
Mountain Kingdoms, the company I will be traveling with, are hoping to build a science lab & library at a cost of £9000 & your donation will go towards this aim.
SHIVA charity does excellent work in promoting education, something we tend to take for granted, in Nepal & Sri Lanka
