2 years ago my Mum died as a result of cancer. She had been a hospice nurse for a number of years on Teesside. Having retired in August 2007, she was back in the hospice just 4 months later as a patient. The care she received from her friends and colleagues over her final days was wonderful. My Mum, the caring work she did and the hospice nurses continue to do today, will always be an inspiration to me. In her memory I am running this year for "Help the Hospices".
