My story

Updated on May 3rd 2011 at 11:41 AM from the JustGiving API

Unfortunately we've not been able to finish our Coast to Coast Walk with only 3 days walking left to do Mike picked up a knee injury which meant we couldn't carry on. However on a positive note we have walked through the Lake District, the Pennines and the Yorkshire Dales - thanks to everyone that donated, we will be going back to finish the remaining part of the walk x

Mike's brother Brendan was diagnosed with cancer and sadly within 6 months he passed away.  This had a devastating effect on family and friends and I am sure we all know of somebody who has had first hand experience of this or knows somebody this conditon has touched.

Brendan was only 48 when he died and even though he suffered from celebal palsy and was wheelchair bound, he lived his life to the full and was an inspiration to us all.

So in Brendan's memory and also in the memory of Sue's nan who has also died from cancer, we will be embarking on Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk on the 20th April 2011.  The walk is 200 miles long, starting in St Bees in Cumbria and finishing in Robin Hood's Bay in Yorkshire.

Your support in helping us raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause is much appreciated - no matter how big or small your donation is, it all adds up.
