I would really appreciate your support as I will be the most nervous person on the London Marathon start line.  I am raising money for the Scientific Exploration Society, a charity which delivers medical, educational and humanitarian aid to remote communities overseas.  www.ses-explore.org.

I started training in September 2009 and have realised that I run quite slowly... so please rest assured that you will be getting excellent value for money in terms of time spent covering the mileage.   I can hardly believe that I have actually signed up for this challenge which I do find hugely daunting.  I do, however, believe that the cause I am supporting is worth it.
