(As I'm sure you know if you're visiting this page and you already know one of us!) we're three final year medical students going to Zambia and Tanzania on our medical elective, and raising money for a brilliant HIV/AIDS charity in the process by climbing the might Kilimanjaro!
We will be working with PEPAIDS during our elective trip, a fantastic organisation that works throughout Zambia to educate local young people about the dangers of HIV/AIDS so that they can in turn educate their peers about a deadly but sadly all too common pit-fall in this part of the world. Peer education is proven to be a successful and sustainable way to empower those threatened with HIV infection to help not only themselves but those around them, who are also at risk.
The ascent itself will take us a punishing 10 days, and we would really appreciate any support (no amount too big or small!) that you could give us.
Thanks for your time and we hope you can help.
Love,
Thulasi, Pri and Suze x
