This will be my first ever sponsored run. I have run 2 races in preparation for the 2009 London Santa Run. I have decided that because this event is taking place near Christmas, I wanted to raise money for a childrens charity.

I chose the charity WAR CHILD after reading about their tremendous work amongst children affected by the horrors of war. Please do take time to look at the link above to find out more about this charity.

I fully intend to run the whole race and am very keen to raise as much money as possible for War Child. I know that every step I run could help to increase the amount of money I raise which in turn will be used to help towards transforming and healing the broken lives of children who have become the victims of war. This thought is what will drive me on to the finishing line.
