My story

Dear Friends,

The need and suffering of those affected by the Earthquake in Northern Areas and Azad Kashmir in Pakistan is of such a magnitude that TCF decided that it would use its resources to focus on a specific program to alleviate the misery. TCF will be implementing a two-phased strategy to provide systematic relief to the survivors of the earthquake:

Immediate Relief:
Basic care packages including tents, blankets and food rations to 20,000 affected people for which we need Pak Rupees 30 Million (£300,000)
Medical Aid - Three medical camps have been set up by teams supported by TCF. A 40-bed field hospital (backed up by a container hospital) with three fully equipped operating theaters, x-ray & laboratory facilities, which has been set up in Neelum Stadium, Muzaffarabad. Permanent Housing: In the second phase we plan to construct 5,000 seismically designed homes each costing Pak Rupees 400,000 (£4,000). This will be a programme with a limited time frame of 2 years. To date, TCF has concentrated its resources in the area of mass education. For this one off initiative, we have joined hands with the following organizations who will implement this relief and re-building plan. These are: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) - national airline with a cargo facility International Brands Limited (IBL) - a national distribution company Institute of Architects of Pakistan Merck Marker (Pvt.) - a multinational pharmaceutical BHP Billiton -world's largest diversified resources company Searle Pakistan Limited -one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Pakistan Unilever Pakistan -one of the world's leading suppliers of fast-moving consumer goods Donations to the TCF earthquake relief fund will be strictly segregated from our on going education programme and used specifically for short term relief.
