Story

<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size: 24pt;">I always wanted to do something really special for a charity.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size: 24pt;">&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size: 24pt;">As I learnt and heard about the young men coming back from Afghanistan and going to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for treatment I knew that was the charity I wanted to support.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size: 24pt;">&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size: 24pt;">Mum and I had read many articles and watched a lot of programs on TV, including the news, about our young soldiers fighting and getting seriously injured. </span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size: 24pt;">All of these articles and programs made Mum and I want to help more.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size: 24pt;">We wanted to do something challenging so that it would be worthwhile, I had the choice of running or cycling.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size: 24pt;">We first started training for running but I came up with the idea of cycling all the way from home to the hospital in Birmingham, as on the West Midlands cycle route this is over 100 miles. Training was and still is hard.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size: 24pt;">We started last September and whatever the weather we go out, as my training program has to be on the two days in the week that I can have out of school. So if it&rsquo;s raining, snowing, sleet or like two weeks ago, hailstones, we cycle!</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size: 24pt;"> Mum and I have had loads of fun battling though training and it makes it a lot easier to know that it is all for a good cause.</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-family: &#39;Times New Roman&#39;; font-size: x-large;">On the weekend of 21st and 22nd April we're cycling 105 miles from Oxford to Birmingham on the West Midlands cycle route.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size: 24pt;">Please help our young soldiers who deserve your support by sponsoring me though the JustGiving website.</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 24pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Thank you very much, Talitha Howden</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
