Described as one of the UK's ultimate challenges, the Three Peaks requires climbers to reach the top of the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in 24 hours.

We begin with a afternoon ascent of Ben Nevis (1344m) before transferring to the Lake District and climbing Scafell Pike (978m) through the night. We then have an early afternoon ascent of Snowdon (1085m) to complete the challenge. The Climb Itenery is outlined below

16.00 - Start ascent at base of

18.15 – Summit of Ben Nevis (2hr 15min ascent)

20.00 – Return to Base of Ben Nevis (1hr 45min descent)

Travel from to (5hrs 54mins; 263 Miles)

02.00 – Arrive at

02.15 – Start Ascent at Base of

05.00 – Summit of Scafell Pike (2hr 45min ascent)

07.00 – Return to Base of Scafell Pike (2hr descent)

Travel from to (4hrs 44mins + Traffic; 218 Miles)

12.30 – Arrive at & commence immediate ascent at base of

14.30 – Summit of Snowdon (2hr ascent)

16.00 – Base of (1hr 30min descent)

Challenge Complete! (Hopefully in 24 hours or under!)

With over 3000m of non-technical climbing, over 10 hours in a minibus, eating at strange times, walking through the night and hiking over rough ground, this truly is a challenge to remember.

A number of training walks have been set to give the team a fighting chance of completing the challenge in the timescales set.

We would like to raise £3,000 for When You Wish Upon A Star, this would be enough money to send a child to Disneyland. We have included below some information on When you Wish Upon A Star.

When You Wish Upon a Star are a small charity whose primary aim is to grant the Wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses, whilst they still have some quality of life to enjoy it.

All children have Wishes but for these children and their families that Wish is so much more precious. For the duration of their Wish, these children are able to forget about hospital routines, doctors and gruelling treatments, and smile, laugh and enjoy life like any other child.

Wishes are varied and far reaching. For some it is a trip to Disneyland in Florida or Paris to meet their favourite characters, for others it is the chance to get up close to a favourite pop star or sporting hero.  Some children just want books and toys, whilst others want a computer to catch up on their schoolwork or keep in touch with their friends. Whatever the Wish, wherever possible, When You Wish Upon a Star will aim to make that Wish come true.
