RUHX (formerly The Forever Friends Appeal) is the official NHS charity of the Royal United Hospitals Bath. We’re here to make our place healthier, happier and stronger for the future. And we do that by supporting the extra extraordinary work that leads to exceptional care for everyone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Target Team ran the Bristol 10k yesterday, which was an excellent race with a great atmosphere. There were some fab results, with five team members achieving times under an hour!! All of us who started also finished the race, and luckily no-one is suffering too much today.

So thanks to everyone for donating and adding your support to this great cause.

We've chosen the RUH NICU 'Space to Grow' campaign as our charity for the event, which is raising money to build a new 'state of the art' special care baby unit at the RUH. Carolyn and Debbie recently visited the existing special care baby unit at the hospital and were shocked to see the small, over-crowded facility, where numerous nurses, parents, babies and vast equipment were all squeezed into an area they had long since outgrown. The new planned unit looks amazing on the plans and is very high-tech as well as being the first of its kind from an environmentally friendly view point.

So please give what you can, for a very worthwhile cause.
