Pounds for Hounds · 31 October 2009

We support individuals, families, and groups with complex health and social care needs, often due to disability, dementia, autism or mental ill health. The support we and our dogs provide enables them to better access the world around them.

Story

'Raezhaven Raisers'

At Raezhaven Gundogs we breed working cockers and in August 2009 we said a fond farewell to Raezhaven Farris our Working Cocker Spaniel puppy that we donated to Dogs for the Disabled. Although we will be kept up to date with his progress, and hope in the future he will go on to make a huge difference to someones life, we felt that we would like to do a bit more.

We decided to make a pledge for at least the next 12 months starting at the end of October 2009, to endeavour to raise as much money as we can for the charity, and have taken on the Pounds for Hounds Project. You can read more about that at

http://www.dogsforthedisabled.org/Supportus/PoundsforHounds.htm

Having already donated a puppy to DFD we are now hoping to raise enough to Sponser a Local Partnership, in Christchurch. We have already carried out some of our activities, you can read about them, and our progress so far on the link below.

Raezhaven Raisers

Helping us, are some of our friends and new puppy owners. They are scattered all over the country and you can see the Team Members in the Picture Gallery on this page.

Some of them have done their own Just Giving Pages and some of them have been doing there own activity to raise money and then adding their donations to this page.

We will now be concentrating on the 100 MILE CHALLENGE

We are walking from June - Oct and endeavouring to raise £1155 for Dogs for the Disabled....on reaching our target we will have in total raised £2500 to Support A Local Partnership, and we hope to be allocated someone in the Christchurch Area. The fund raising so far has been raised by our Team Members......

 Teresa - Sleepover In A Kennel £806

Stacey - Pamper Day £288

Alisons' Cake Making & Our Secret Santa Comp £255

Many thanks to our dedicated Team Members for their amazing efforts. The 100 mile challenge will be undertaken by myself (Rachel), Phil, with some of our canine companions, and any other team members that are able to join us..you can view the walking schedule
