We are taking part in the Grim Challenge 2009 which involves us running, wading and crawling in an 8 mile off-road challenge!
We will be raising money for TreeHouse!
TreeHouse is the national charity for autism education and was founded in 1997 by parents of pupils with autism. Autism is a life long condition, of which there is no known cause or cure. Those with autism display difficulties with social interaction, communication and imagination.
Pupils at TreeHouse are educated on a 1:1 basis using ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis). This intensive, enjoyable and interactive approach to eduaction enables pupils with autsim to build skills and adapt their behaviours through the application of scientific principles such as reinforcement.
