The Factory's Adult Education Project has been providing a wide range of open training opportunities to our local communities in Hackney and Islington for over 30 years. This project provides training and extra assistance for local residents wishing to work or return to work. Support and assistance in seeking employment or education, primarily in the area of childcare for members of the local communities in Hackney, Islington and surrounding areas; who are unemployed or seeking employment but do not have the qualifications or resources to access suitable opportunities. We concentrate on the long-term unemployed with or without any previous employment experience and help them to build confidence in their own abilities as well as providing a place for them to gain accredited qualifications.

Strict criteria and a lack of funding has meant that all our services have been severely reduced and some are unable to continue at present. We are applying for funding from all available sources and are hoping that you can contribute too...
