Barretstown helps rebuild lives affected by childhood cancer & serious illness. Children come to Barretstown to take part in our unique programmes, designed to help them recover from the emotional trauma of serious illness. They leave stronger, more independent & with a renewed sense of confidence.

Dear Sponsor,

 

John Roberts, Nathy Feely, Kate Dolman and Steve Gillies will be competing in the Run to the Beat Docklands Half Marathon on 27 Sept 09 and would really like your help to raise £1000 for the Wyeth charity Barretstown.

 

Event Information

The 2009 race start is at the O2 Arena on 27th September and will head through the closed roads in the leafy borough of Greenwich before heading back to the O2 Arena.

Live and recorded music will be played around the 13.1 mile course with 12,500 competitors running to the beat.

Barretstown is a specially designed camp, providing a programme of adventure, activities and fun - backed by the medical world - which helps children with serious illness regain their confidence and self-esteem.

Barretsown improves the lives of their families affected by childhood cancer and other serious illness, rebuilding their confidence, trust, self-esteem through therapeutic recreation.
