Story

Staff at the George in Rye are undertaking a sponsored swim of the River Rother on Friday 3rd September 2010. Swimming from Bodiam Castle to Scots Float, a total of 11 miles, the swimmers will take turns to swim down the entire navigatable length of the river until it is conquered! Supported by the Bodiam Ferry, the largest boat based on the River Rother, the swimmers will set off at 8am from the famous National Trust castle, battling weeds, slugs and fisherman until they reach their goal.
