2009 sees St Michael's Hospice celebrate its 25th anniversary. From the very first day it opened, a commitment was made to provide quality, individualised care to patients who have progressive, life-limiting conditions and to offer support to their carers and families during the patient’s illness and in their bereavement. Over the course of time, services such as our day hospice, family support, complementary therapy, lymphoedema and out patient clinics have developed. It will cost £3.6 million to run the Hospice this year and we need to raise more than £3 million of that amount. Support from community fundraisers is invaluable and very much appreciated. Thank you.

Well, we've now completed the Venus Challenge - a 10k walk (6.21 miles), starting at Hereford Leisure Centre at Midnight through well-lit areas of Hereford. It was great fun, but oh my goodness did we feel the burn!!!

This year it is the Hospice's 25th Anniversary so we are all trying to raise as much as possible. As 25 years is a 'silver' celebration we all got kitted out in silver-related items - hence the name, 'The Glitter Girls' ! please please spread the word by emailing our page to everyone you know - and sponsor us -anyone who knows us will know how unfit most of us are !! haha, but this is SUCH a worthy cause, it will only take 2 minutes of your time to donate. The walk may well take us longer to do than some - but its the taking part that counts! please take 2 minutes out of your busy day with a few clicks of your mouse - and donate a few pounds..
