Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Me and two of my friends are doing a run through Europe with the intention to raise some money for Gemini-i charity. This run is a tour which starts in Belgium, going past Luxembug, France, Germany, Austria, Slovenia and finishing in the south of Croatia.

This is all to be done in a "banger", an old car, there will also be other teams with the same intent of raising money for this charity.

We would be really appreciate if you could donate anything, even if it is a small amount, as this money is going to contribute for a noble cause, these noble causes consist of helping children in 114 countries, helping them by educating them using various online resources. The main goal is to fight problems such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, it also tries to tackle problems with Human rights and conflict resolution.

Gemini-i believes that having brighter children will result in a brighter future, and helping these children is a must, and they want to do this by educating.

Where does your money go? Which of course is the biggest question before you donate. The money we raise in this event, called "Sucata Split", will go to 4 schools in the developing world, where Gemini-i is running a HIV/AIDS awareness project called "Youth Action Xchange".

Youth Action Xchange aims to raise awareness and generate understanding among young people across the globe about the HIV and AIDS epidemic and to bring young people together to take action on it. With increased awareness and understanding, we will be providing them with the tools they need to join campaigns and urge their governments to deliver on their commitments to combat HIV and AIDS.

PROJECT METHOD:
Participants will join Gemin-i’s online educational community of schools. Through tailored lesson plans and conducting online interviews with experts on the community, each young person will develop a thorough understanding of the HIV and Aids epidemic and how it relates to their local community and country. Using debates, forums and video conferencing they will then share knowledge and exchange ideas with other children from around the globe.

THE OUTCOMES:
Through developing their understanding and awareness of the issue, students will identify tangible ways in which they can play a role in combatting HIV and Aids. Across Gemin-i’s online educational community they will draw up a
unified call-to-action for leaders and policy makers worldwide, enabling young people’s opinions to be incorporated in agendas and policies internationally.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks very much for taking your time reading this, we really appreciate if you could spare any money you can, we let you know that none of this money will be used to fund our run, it will go straight to the charity as we will fund our run ourselves!!
