Story
A team of 8 friends from Hertfordshire intend to take on the TraiWalker 2015 course. The course is an epic 100km or 62.5 miles from Petersfield to Brighton across the South Downs in aid of two truly deserving causes: Oxfam and The Gurkha Welfare Trust. The challenge was set up by the Gurkhas in 1981 to test teamwork, endurance and determination. It is equivalent to two and a half marathons back-to-back and covers an overall ascent equivalent to that of Ben Nevis, Snowden and Scarfell.
The event is taking us truly out of our comfort zone and it is for this reason that we want to raise as much as we can for two awesome charities. The money we raise will help Oxfam and The Gurkha Welfare Trust provide life-changing support to poor people worldwide. You can read more about the two beneficiaries and the great work that they do at the Oxfam website: https://www.oxfam.org.uk/trailwalker/fundraise/where-your-money-goes.
