The Salvation Army' Covid 19 Community support
Campaign by The Salvation Army (RCN 214779 and in Scotland SC009359)
Supporting those who are struggling during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Story

In this time of crisis there is a call for our community to
pull together and be here for one another. A friend in need is a friend
indeed.

Why the Good Neighbour scheme?

It is our desire to create a safe network of volunteers available to help and assist during this time of crisis.Safeguarding those vulnerable during this time is of great importance to us and we want to do all we can to minimise any danger or abuse.

All our volunteers are required to fill in an application

form disclosing anything that may prevent them from volunteering in such a way. In addition two character references are obtained for each
volunteer.

Our volunteers are issued with IDs and are given basic online training.
