Ok, this might sound a bit of silly fundraiser, but to me is absolutely NO COKE what so ever – it’s serious!  That “C” is not a spelling mistake either. To help raise a little bit of dosh for this wonderful charity, in return for your sponsorship, I am not going to drink any type or brand of cola at all - what so ever - for 7 months from now.  As my immediate work colleagues well know, I only drink coke – morning, noon and night. The stuff runs through my veins, I have it on my cornflakes, I wash in it – well Ok, maybe those last three weren’t quite true, but believe me when I say this is no light challenge. This will demand will-power of the highest calibre and an avoidance of the drinks machine in our coffee room which has lots of bottles on show, with those lovely droplets glistening in the sun’s rays like diamonds, begging you to drink their ice-cold slurps of cokie wonderfulness. So please consider my intense suffering over the next 7 months and donate a tidy sum to help LUCIA continue their excellent projects in Africa.
