Thomas has had his awareness raised about the problems in Haiti following the recent earthquake. He has already frisked the house for loose change and given up some of his Saturday last weekend to go bag packing for the cause in Sainsbury's. He has now talked me into a sponsored walk..... a l_o_n_g sponsored walk!

We are going to walk from our house in Oswestry to Mum and Dad's house in Bayston Hill where hopefully we will be fed and watered before being given a lift home :o)

The total distance is 20 miles and we expect it will take us around 7 hours to complete!!

Shelterbox provides emergency housing and lifesaving equipment to those in need. The cost of each box is £490, this provides an extended family of ten people with emergency shelter and the essential equipment that they will need to survive for six months. The "all in"  cost includes the contents, storage and delivery to final recipients.

Initially, Shelterbox's disaster relief tents are being used in emergency field hospitals and the Shelterbox Response Team in Haiti are assessing the best sites for a large scale distribution of emergency shelter.

UPDATE!!

Thanks to your amazing generosity we reached our original target in less than 24 hours!! Sooooo we've decided to increase it to £490 which is the cost of one entire Shelterbox. It would be fantastic if we could manage to reach the new target between us!
