Story
Well Hello there.
My name is Thomas Fide and I am very thankful that you have taken the time to come and visit my JustGiving page.
Here is a little introduction to what I am doing here:
On Sunday the 25th of October 2009, at around 10.00am I will be tucked up in bed having a terrible nightmare that I am about to run in the Stroud Half Marathon. My legs simulate a running motion, my breathing becomes heavy as my heart rate increases creating an uncomfortable beating against my chest. A sticky sweat covers my face as my cheeks start to turn a worn out red. My muscles ache with every step, my mind is telling me stop, give up and go home.... Suddenly I wake with a jolt, panic and confusion overwhelms me for a moment. I eventually sit up in my bed and realize my warm, cosy bedroom surroundings, I let out a sigh of relief, it was just a dream, a bad, bad dream.
I am not going to lie. The idea of running 3 miles, 192 yards and 18 inches terrifies me to the core, but what scares me more than anything, is not completing it. So please, if you have a few pennies or pounds to spare then your donation would be so welcomed. Not only will it help towards my added motivation to get up at 7am every morning, but more importantly it will also all be going directly to GamesAid, a UK games aid charity.
If you would like to contact me or donate in a way different to this website please contact : justgiving@thomasfide.com
I thank you so for your time and your help.
All the very best,
Thomas Fide.
p.s. To show my involvement and appreciation for GamesAid and add an element of fun to the cause I will be dressing up as an iconic computer game character on race day. Providing I have not left the country....
