Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After 7 years in the Royal Navy followed by 25 years working for the MOD I was medically retired when I developed Multiple Sclerosis. I now carry out voluntary work for several charities and feel it is time for me to raise some money for people less fortunate than myself.

On 11 August 2010 I intend to drive non stop on my disability scooter to each of the three main bridges of Fife i.e. from the Forth Road Bridge, to the Tay Bridge, to the Kincardine Bridge and back to the Forth Road Bridge. This journey of 150 miles is aimed at raising as much money as possible for Poppy Scotland and will take me approximately 24 hours. To most fit people this may not seem like much of a challenge, but trust me, with my body in the condition it is this is going to take a huge amount of effort. I'm prepared to punish myself physically because I appreciate how important the cause is. Are you prepared to help me?

Poppy Scotland are proactive in the support of our service veterans and cannot survive without your help. To see more information about this fine organisation and the excellent work they do for our brave lads who have fought in a variety of places, most recently Afghanistan, visit: www.poppyscotland.org.uk

My target is to raise £500 and due to a lot of very generous people I have achieved it but I believe that with your help I can still raise more. Please remember that we have now passed the 300 mark of young men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan. Surely an event such as my Three Bridges challenge where all the money raised goes directly to Poppy Scotland is worthy of your support.

So please dig deep and donate now.
