Story

Dear Friends, Relatives and Colleagues,

Very many thanks indeed for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the 2009 Amsterdam Marathon on the 18th October along with a couple of good friends and colleagues from the University of York, Richard Walker and Dan Wiggle.

This year I am running for St. Leonards Hospice, York and, as in previous years, Barclays Bank have very kindly agreed to match on a £ for £ basis any monies which I raise for the hospice up to a total of £750. Couple this with the Government's gift aid scheme and it means that every £10 pledged would be worth as much as £22.80 to St. Leonard's Hospice - a very good deal indeed!

For the three of us, the training is now just about complete - to quote Richard, 'we are officially tapering', so much so that Dan has headed off to the beach and some final warm weather training next to the Med!

So if you would like to support St. Leonard's Hospice and our combined efforts on the 18th October, we would be delighted. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - more is raised, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

With very grateful thanks,

TIM FRANKLIN
