My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm doing the thing I do best which is to run, run, run and grow facial hair. I'm afraid of heights so won't be doing any sky-dives or bungee jumps, but I'm happy to trot the streets sporting unflattering lycra pants if it persuades people to donate to my chosen charity.

Throughout the year I'll be running in a number of organised 10k events in Manchester & Salford. I started running in 2008 at the age of 45 and I ran my first 10k in a little over 60 minutes. My current PB is 45:19 and I still hoping to beat this! My dream is to come in under 45 minutes!

This year, I and my company, Kay-Lambert Associates, are proud to support The Stroke Association.

I've seen at first hand some of the astonishing work they do, the support they provide, and the impact they are having on fighting the causes and the treatment of Stroke.

I have my own personal stories of close family members who have died at a young age or had their lives decimated by the effects of a stroke. I am, as a result, in a higher risk category of having one myself so I am literally running for my life!

I urge you to consider making a donation, however small, to this wonderful organisation. Please help them continue their work and make a massive difference to so many lives. Their research might one day save your life!

Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you, thank you and thank you again!

In 2013 I'll be running in the City of Manchester 10k on July 14th and the City of salford 10k on September 8th. Please support my charity by giving generously. Thank you! Tim x

I ran the City of Manchester 10k on June 24th. After a very slow start I stumbled across the line in 45:59. That's minute faster than the last run. On course to beat that 45 minute barrier!

29/06/12 15:19

Finished Bupa run in 46:51. Planning on two or three more 10ks this year. Please keeping supporting us.
