On Sunday 25th April 2010 I will be running in my first ever (quite possibly my last too) marathon in London. The training has started, therefore so has the fundraising and by putting this page together I am asking you donate whatever you can to my chosen charity, LAM Action.
Lymphangioleiomyomatosis or LAM is a seriously rare and incurable condtion that only occurs in women, generally of childbearing age, gradually destroying lung tissue which progressively erodes lung function.
I'm running for LAM Action as my Auntie Louise has bravely battled with the condition for many years; running 26 miles is the very least I can do to help play my part and make a contribution. By running the marathon I hope to raise a sizeable and vital dontation to aid research and the work LAM do in supporting patients, whilst increasing awareness to others at the same time.
