The Shrewsbury Marathon · 23 June 2013

Retina UK is the only UK charity dedicated solely to working for people affected by inherited sight loss. We fund medical research to accelerate the search for treatments for the future, and provide information and support to help people lead better lives today.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

RP (Retinitis Pigmentosa) is a genetic disease of the eye which results in the deterioration of vision, and often complete blindness. Unfortunately I have seen the effects of this disease through my Grandma and would therefore like to raise awareness of the disease and support research that will one day provide a treatment.

RP Fighting Blindness carries out research into finding a treatment for RP. The charity also aims to provide key information and support services to people with RP, their families, and anyone with an interest in the condition. To see for yourself what the work of RP Fighting Blindness involves, visit www.rpfightingblindness.org.uk.

Any donation at all would contribute towards this worthy cause and would be more than greatly appreciated. It would be amazing to know that come race day I had raised plenty of money for this cause, which would motivate me to complete my first marathon!

Thanks very much for your time.

Tim
