Story

With sponsorship from Hawkwell House, I decided to sign up for this organised bike ride on the basis that I wanted to help a good cause, and to achieve something special in memory of my great Aunt Audrey who died from cancer. She was a very special person and will always be close to my thoughts.

With dodgy knees - this is my replacement for a Marathon -  the 411 miles will mean 8 to 9 hours in the saddle for 4 days and that prospect is still rather alarming, but mind over matter! I've always enjoyed cycling, but I feel that this will push me to do more and keep my fitness up.

Any help will be appreciated. Cheers, Tim.

set off at 6am on Sunday to watch Angus play hockey at Woking - 75 miles was hard work in last 20 - many thanks to Sian Mitchell who dragged me along in those last miles! feeling bit stiff, still worried about 4 days of more than that!
