Hi

As you may know, my wife Heather was seriously ill last year having suffered a brain haemorrhage.  She has now made a fantastic recovery thanks largely to the skill and care of the surgeon, doctors and nurses at University Hospital, Coventry.

I would like in some small way to show my appreciation and support for the work of the neurological unit at Coventry Hospital by raising as much as possible for much needed equipment.

To help raise the money I am undertaking, with 3 friends, to cycle from John O'Groats to Lands End in 14 days this September.  It is approximately 980 miles, which averages at a worrying 70 miles + per day.  I am currently in intensive training, having never ridden more than 50 miles in one go before.

I am also raising money for CORD (Christian Outreach - Relief and Development) who work in rebuilding lives ruined by conflict in areas such as Darfur, Iraq and Rwanda.

CORD have agreed to collect the sponsorship monies and distribute equally with University Hospital, Coventry.

Even in these tough times, I do hope you are able to support me in this venture.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
