Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was trying to think of what I could do to mark my 50th year. Throwing a party seems like a good idea and no doubt I will get round to organising that shortly. But I also wanted to do something memomarable. And then I thought of it, the Coast to Coast walk!
Completing the C2C is a long held ambition of mine, 200 miles from St Bee's on the west coast to Robin Hoods Bay on the east, 12 days walking through 3 national parks. Lance Turvey is doing the whole walk with me and a few friends have said they will join us for part of it. So should be fun.I also decided it would be a good idea to raise some money for one of the charities I support through our payroll giving arrangements at work. They support over 21,000 disabled people in the UK and work in 52 countries. They campaign for change and provide innovative services that give disabled people the opportunity to live life their way. I used to live opposite their home in Brampton and could see first hand the fantastic work they do helping disabled people live in the community.
So if you would also like to mark my 50th please think about making a donation and help me celebrate my walk. It will give me the encouragement I'll need when its pouring with rain, blowing a gale and we are still 10 miles from the next bed!
So please dig deep and donate now.
