Well, I did it!  I completed the London Marathon and achieved my aim of finishing in under four hours - but boy was it close!  My time was 3 hours 59 minutes and 39 seconds, thanks to a sprint down The Mall to the finish.

Thanks to everyone who sponsored me - I was thinking of you all during the run, especially between the 20th and 25th mile markers which has got to be the toughest part.  Your support has helped enormously not just in the financial sense, but also in keeping me going through all the training and the run today.

Seafarers UK are also highly appreciative of your support, which will make a most welcome contribution to their important work.
