Hello everyone

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. 

I have been asked to run in the Great South Run for Hampshire Deaf Association (HDA).

HDA provide services for deaf people in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and have many schemes going including a residental centre for deaf people on the Island and a successful Youth scheme called Deaf.F.

HDA is like many other charities in that they are reliant on fundraising. As a deaf person myself I am keen to ensure that the future of HDA keeps going.  When I was a teenager they had a centre near St Mary's football stadium in Southampton, which sadly had to close due to the high costs of keeping it going.  However, HDA continues to support many people in Southampton.

For those of you who know me, I am an active sporty person but running is NOT my forte.  This will be a huge test for me but as with everything else in life, I will give it a go. I aim to make the day colourful as possible. (I may dress up!)
