My story
Hello. Thanks for taking the time to visit my fund raising page.
In April, I am running the London Marathon. As well as making it to the end, I am hoping to raise loads of money for a really fantastic small charity called Mosac.
You may not have heard of Mosac, but they do some great work supporting all non-abusing parents and carers whose children have been sexually abused. Abuse is terrible for the children concerned, but can also be devastating for the whole family and Mosac provide support services and information for parents, carers and professionals dealing with child sexual abuse. You can see their website here
It is not a subject we like to talk about much, but it does happen, and Mosac provides a very important service. They are a small organisation with 4 staff supported by volunteers and they need every penny they can get to keep doing their work. For example £5 pays for one phone call to give valuable support, care and advice, £35 pays for a play therapy session for younger clients and £300 will train up a volunteer to be able to help parents, carers and children affected by sexual abuse.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me or Mosac. As well as the £££, the advice and encouragement from so many people has been invaluable.
I did it! 4 hours, 9 minutes. I am very happy with that. Taken they day off today, to recover - man, these legs are tired.
One day to go. Huge thanks to everyone who has sponsored me and supported me.
9 days to go! I am now officially on the 'taper' - resting up before the big day and hoping that all the training over thiose winter months was enough. Now i just need to remember to get up in time!

Mosac exists to support all non-abusing parents and carers of children who have been sexually abused. The charity aims to enable parents and carers to rebuild confidence, alleviate isolation and improve quality of life following the discovery of abuse. This is achieved through a range of services meeting individual needs.
